Depending on your point of view, having a floor that is not permanent can be a plus or a minus. Carpet does have a life cycle, so if you are looking to refloor once and only once, wood floor or ceramic is a better choice. On the other hand, if you like to change the look of the room once in awhile, it is relatively easy to install new carpeting. Also, if you want to preserve wood flooring while the kids grow up, it is a great solution to lay carpeting until the wood floors are less vulnerable. |
