Our group of 5 stores is
locally owned and family operated in Wisconsin. We employ 60+ employees and contract with over 50 installation contractors from throughout the State of Wisconsin - from Beloit to Wausau.
Ray Peters and his son, Michael founded the
business and the Peters Family continues as the principal shareholders to this day. Numerous family members have been and many remain in various positions within the company.
The business began in 1971, originally operating under the name of Madison Carpetland USA. We changed our name to Carpets Plus of Wisconsin/ColorTile in 1997 to better reflect the full compliment of product lines, which had grown to include vinyl flooring, ceramic tile, hardwood, area rugs, and laminate flooring.
Officers include
Executive Vice President Gary Pickney,
Vice Presidents Mike Wanta and Marc Gerothanas. Heather Anderson is the company Secretary, and Kate Lavin is the Treasurer. Regan Peters and Shannon Howery are the Assistant
Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
